I just adore maternity sessions. I love watching my clients’ families grow and I especially love that I’m the one that gets to photograph such sweet milestones.

If you’re on the fence about booking a maternity session, please take this as your sign to DO IT. Maternity sessions are a celebration and you deserve to have lasting memories of such a special season. Whether it’s your first, second, third or tenth, I believe each pregnancy should be documented.

Here are just a few of my favorite maternity sessions I’ve had the pleasure of photographing in the last few months.

Hannah + Jon booked me last Fall for their anniversary session and I was THRILLED when they reached back out a few months later with the news they were pregnant! We decided to shoot at Midtown Park – one of my favorite places in Charlotte. Even though it was a bit of a cloudy day, the magic of film made this session feel so warm.

Just like Hannah and Jon, Alexandra and Tripp booked me for their anniversary session last year and just a few weeks later told me they were expecting. I was so excited to photograph their session at McGill Rose Garden and one of my favorite little spots in Dilworth. How are all of my clients so so beautiful!

Ashley wanted an English garden vibe for their maternity family session and we just knew the Duke Mansion was the perfect spot. We strolled around the gardens on a perfectly sunny day just a few weeks before their baby boy decided to join them.

I photographed Eden’s high school senior session in 2014, her and Jake’s wedding in 2017 and now their maternity session in 2022. It’s been such a sweet journey these last 8 years and I’m so excited to continue to photograph all of their milestones in the next 8+ years.
